Asam & Co. Perfumers begins distilling attars using Deg-Bhapka, a 1,000-year-old traditional hydro-distillation method, on GT Rd, Makrand Nagar, in Kannauj — India's "Perfume Capital" and the historic heart of the country's attar-making tradition.

Proprietor Ahmed Ashhar now runs the house, serving both individual retail customers and wholesale/export buyers from the same batches, distilled the same way since 1912.
